Every language is unique and behind it is a long history with the original culture and their traditions.

Every student has its own personality and teaching a new language should be according to his or her special needs and background knowledge.

The main principle of my approach is that the teacher is not just a person who explains grammar and how to use it, but the teacher is a friend of the student and helps him or her to speak, understand and succeed in learning a new language.

"Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice." (Anton Chekhov).

I believe that language is a new magic world and when you start learning it, you reveal not just rules and vocabulary, but a new culture, its special atmosphere and traditions. So, if you decided to learn new language, be ready to make a step into new world and feel changes inside!

I am sure that each learner should be inspired and given the motivation why to study this or that language. That is the point why I prefer to choose topics and vocabulary according to the interests of the learner. Moreover, there is a nice modern technique, which is learning through video. It allows to practice grammar, vocabulary and speaking while getting closer to local culture and mentality. And if you are open and have a desire to learn, 50% of success are already in you pocket!

"How many languages you know - that many times you are a person." (Pavlo Tychyna).

Each foreign language is not only about words. It is about new people you can meet, new songs you can listen to, new jokes that make you laugh, new books and films that give you a new kind of inspiration. So, I always pay attention to something that is behind words and grammar – far beyond vocabulary. Though we need them all, I never forget the main scope of why people never stop studying languages: new opportunities, new voyages, new friends are awaiting them. I invite you to join us in this amazing voyage! We are waiting for you!

Those who know no foreign language know nothing of their mother tongue (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)

“Great mood and high knowledge!” is the motto of my lessons.

Learning any foreign language is a laborious and endless process, but which gives us the opportunity to open new vistas up, the opportunity of constantly developing, to explore this amazing world, to understand better and to see brighter everything around us. Travelling and communication with people from around the world give us a lot of positive emotions, familiarizes us with the values and customs of each culture, helps us to look inward.

While teaching, I combine grammar and lexical material, so you can start using it at once after each lesson. I always make accent on pronunciation, listening attentively and correcting mistakes. I’ll help you to conquer fear to make a mistake and to break a language barrier. You don’t think you were born and immediately started walking without falls? :)

I’d like to point out, the result depends on well-defined learning objectives and mutual commitment to learning process. I’m sure, not only a student learn something new on lessons, but also a teacher.

Wish you inspiration and positive attitude! Let’s take this great trip together!

"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart. " (Nelson Mandela).

It seems like a miracle that there are so many different nations with their unique languages. Russian, among them, has its own long and complex history that is inseparable from the state and culture and is still evolving. To understand its complexity, you will need to merge into our mentality, feel the cultural differences in live mode, through communication and literature.

There is no better way to study the language to the best extent, than to join and feel comfortable, to read and to think Russian on the go. I will say to you, “Give me a pencil”, and I will reach out. You will guess instantly what I want. I like playing games while I learn: this will make the studying fun and easy! The motivation rises, the concentration grows stronger, and the corners of your lips tend to rise all the time. This will help you to adopt the language intuitively, as children all over the world do. And even without the children’s hypersensitivity, we still possess the best tool in mastering the language: through reasoning and logical thinking.

It is thanks to the combination of conscious adult comprehension and intuitive child-like perception that you learn how to use the acquired knowledge in every day life, to be precise and clear as you speak.

"What is language? First of all, this is not only a way to express your thoughts, but also to create your thoughts. Language has the opposite effect. A person who turns his thoughts, his ideas, his feelings into a language ... he also seems to be permeated with this way of expression." (Aleksei Tolstoy).

There is no secret magic way to learn a foreign language, especially fast and without any special efforts. Students need to understand why he or she wants to learn it, so the student’s wish is an important part of studying. And I am as a teacher who is going to help you to reach your goal easily and qualitatively.

I believe that the best support for a student, who is learning a foreign language, is actual communication, as I think immersion in situations where the studied language surrounds you is the most productive technique. Learning a new language is not something unachievable and I will help you to reach your goal.

"With languages, you are at home anywhere." (Edward De Waal).

A person can better receive information in a native language than in a foreign. That is why I pick up learning materials for each student based on his/her mother tongue. And besides I consider the specificity of this language when presenting Russian grammar. But you have to remember, that Russian is a very complicated language and learning it demands from students attentiveness and diligence.

People, who have decided to learn foreign languages made a right decision, because language is an opportunity to overcome all the barriers in communication. My aim is to inspire students to move, to widen their outlook, to know something new in different branches of languages and to be successful in learning it.

I consider that in teaching people different languages we - teachers - should pay attention to student’s interests and all the challenges that they can have, make our lessons as much interesting as possible and try to show people, that languages are not complicated, they are necessary and useful. Languages are like the key that can open every door.

It’s always important to find out student’s personal needs to create an individual approach, so that everyone could learn things, that are not only must-have in foreign language studies, but also include an individual value. I try to build cross-cultural connections between the Russian culture and the student’s native one. Also we listen to Russian songs and lyric verses to understand the immaterial aspect of the language better.

I think that substantial knowledge of any language requires not only ability of grasping grammar in details, but also it requires involvement into cultural and language environment.

My visits to Sweden and Portugal, communication with local people made me feel a certain affinity with Swedish and Portuguese languages and that’s the reason why I am glad to teach them. I practise using various, mainly foreign, manuals and audio/video materials, literary texts and scientific articles.

Whereas teaching Russian to foreigners, I always try to imagine their native language and culture. I teach my students grammar through vivid dialogue that can be modified according to their preferences.

"Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come from and where they are going." (Rita Mae Brown).
