Let's imagine you need to describe your clothes, your belongings or something else and don't really know how to tell their colours in the right way. It will not happen with you anymore after you will have read this article.
Have you ever seen a rainbow? Sometimes when the sun is shining and it is rainy somewhere at the same time, you can see a rainbow. The sun's light is "white", but the water droplets break it up into seven different colours, always in this order:
Красный (red) , оранжевый (orange), жёлтый (yellow), зелёный (green), голубой (light blue), синий (blue), фиолетовый (violet).
To better remember the above, most Russians use a handy mnemonic sentence:

Colours are the adjectives (they are used to describe people and objects).
All the adjectives listed above are of masculine, singular nominative case.
In the Russian language the ends of adjectives change to agree in gender and in case with the noun they describe.

! Make difference between such a words: (colour, colours) and (flower, flowers).

А- Какие твои любимые цветы?
Б- Васильки. Потому что я люблю синий цвет. А твои?
А- А я люблю розы. Мой самый любимый цвет-красный.
Б- Да, роза- красивый цветок.
В: А я люблю все цветы и все цвета!
